JUDr. Pavel Kandráč, CSc. was elected by legislative
body like the first historical Public defender of rights
on
March 19, 2002
. The
term of the Public Defender of Rights started on the
date that his Oath was administered by the Chairman of
the National Council, on
March
27, 2002
.
Pavel Kandrac will hold the office of the Public
Defender of Rights in the Slovak Republic for
another term of five years. The decision was taken
in a secret ballot of the National Council of the
Slovak Republic on 30 January, 2007.
